Looking after your Aesthetic Laundry garments

Aesthetic: The appreciation of beauty.
Laundry: Clothes and linen that need to be washed.

From the beginning, Heidi wanted to create a brand which designed and made clothes which made you feel amazing whilst also being transitional.

She wanted clothing which you would love, want to treasure and ultimately wear again and again.

This meant working with fabrics which are practical. Clothing which didn't contain fiddly details such as sequins or felt. And finally a fabric composition which you could wash easily. With that in mind we wanted to give you a few easy tips of best looking after your Aesthetic Laundry garments.

1. Wash at 30 degrees

We all know that laundry is a chore we don't enjoy, so we make sure that our mainline collections always use fabrics which can be washed at 30 degrees with similar colours to keep the washing process as simple as possible.

If you are able to do on a cold wash / hand wash then this is even better, but by no means a necessity.

2. Wash with similar colours

We know that our Whitney products come with multicoloured tassels, however we wash test each of these products so that none of the colours run.

With that in mind, you can pick which wash your AL garment goes into based on the main body colour.

Extra tip: Watch out for mixing with denim. A lot of denim contains transferable dyes so you want to avoid mixing these with other colours

3. Line Dry

Your AL garments are too sensitive for the tumble dryer so when the weather allows pop them up on the line. Most of the creases will fall our naturally which means less ironing required (always a bonus)!

4. Steam your tassels

When your Whitney products have been through a couple of washes, you may notice that the curl starts to fall out. To get your bouncy tassels back, simply steam the tassels (this can be using the steam function on your iron if you don't have a steamer). Check out this video which shows you exactly how to do it.

5. Colour Pop without the worry

Number 5 is more fact than tip... rather than putting all the AL Care into your hands, we've taken on one piece ourselves to save you some time.

Our Colour Pop collection is exactly what it says on the tin; it is a minimum of two fabric colours in one garment. As fun as these garments are, we have definitely all been there when we've pulled our garments out the machine and one stray red item has run into your other colours.

So fear not. Our fabrics are all pre-washed to ensure there is minimal chance of them being ruined.

It's as simple as that!
